Multi-ingredient Supplement- participants aged 55-75
An investigation into the cognitive, mood and stress-reducing effects of a multi-ingredient supplement in healthy adults (aged 55-75 years). Involves a training visit (no more than 3 hours) and 2 further appointments (testing visits, approx. 3.5- 4 hours each, 1.5 hours of which requires active participation, the rest is rest periods). In between appointments 2 and 3 you will be required to take treatment at home every day for 90 days and complete mood questionnaires and cognitive tasks every 7 days on your mobile phone/tablet and take an interim phone call from the researcher part way through. Appointment 3 commences 90 days after appointment 2 and follows the same procedure as appointment 1).
You will be compensated £150 for your time.

Silk supplement - participants aged 20-64
An investigation into the cognitive and mood effects of a silk fibroin hydroslate supplement in healthy adults (aged 20-64 years). Involves a training visit (approx 2.5 hours) and 2 further appointments (testing visits, approx. 3-3.5 hours each, 1 hour 45 mins of which requires active participation, the remainder is rest periods). In between appointments 2 and 3 you will be required to take treatment at home every day for 28 days. Appointment 3 commences 28 days after appointment 2 and follows the same procedure as appointment 1.

Children’s phosphatidylserine supplement study – participants aged 8 – 12
An investigation into the chronic cognitive effects of 6 and 12 weeks administration of a phosphatidylserine containing food supplement Sharp•PS® green, in children aged 8 – 12 (school years 4 – 7). The study involves an initial online or telephone screening appointment (30 minutes approx.), a training appointment at our labs (2 hours approx.) and then 3 further appointments in the morning on a weekend at our labs, where your child will complete mood questionnaires and some attention and memory tasks, each of these appointments lasts approximately 4 hours (this includes breaks). Appointment 4 occurs 6 weeks after appointment 3 and appointment 5 occurs 12 weeks after appointment 3. Between visits 3 and 5 your child will be required to take a supplement or placebo at home every day for 12 weeks. There is also the opportunity to take part in an optional sleep monitoring element of the study. To compensate your child for their time they will receive £140 in vouchers for taking part in this study (parents/guardians will receive £30 towards travel expenses).
