BPNRC celebrates 10 year anniversary with free public lecture.
The Brain Performance and Nutrition Research Centre is 10 years old this year and, to celebrate, we're holding a public lecture to talk about what our research has found over this decade. Director Professor David Kennedy will open with a history of the lab and our research journey; including his particular highlights. Dr Emma Wightman will then talk about what the polyphenol research group within the lab has shown; particularly wine and chocolate polyphenols, and here we'll even have some samples for the audience to enjoy! Associate Director Dr Philippa Jackson will then talk about the findings of her fatty acids (fish oils) research group during this time.
This event is free to attend and will be held at Northumbria University, Newcastle between 6:00-7:30 pm on Tuesday 30th January 2018. At 6:00 pm we'll be starting with a drinks reception in the foyer. Here the BPNRC team will present some posters of our research and have some of the cognitive tasks that we use in the lab for audience members to try. If you perform the best then, at the end of the lecture, you will be provided with a cognitively enhancing hamper!
