Measurement of human samples
We have the capacity to take blood (finger-prick, intravenous and cannulation; by trained phlebotomists), saliva, urine and stool samples and can measure a wide range of biomarkers in our own clinical space. Where we are unable, we work with UK hospitals to measure these on our behalf. Examples of biomarkers include:
-
Salivary cortisol and caffeine
-
Finger-prick glucose
-
Plasma levels of parent and metabolites of nutritional interventions
-
Total antioxidant status
-
Inflammatory markers
-
Full bloods screen
Please see the gut function 'omics' page for information on how these samples can provide information on gut health
